This detached house gave us the privacy we wanted without being cut off from the village. In the wintertime, we stayed warm in the evenings using the heating system fuelled by a pellet burning fire. I liked the original features in the renovation, with the old wooden floors and ceilings adding to the charm. The first-floor layout offered great views of the surrounding countryside.  The village is the start point for some great walking routes.

Porto airport, Francisco Sá Carneiro is to the North - a 2hr, 190km drive.  Lisbon Portelais Airport is to the South - 1.50hr, 185 km drive.

Is there a swimming pool?

Olive Trees Farm has a plunge pool, great for the kids to splash around in or for you to enjoy a glass of your favourite drink as the sun goes down. 400m from the farm is the beautiful river beach with restaurant & bar.

How many people can it sleep?

Olive Trees Farm sleeps 6. Both bedrooms are on the ground floor keeping them cool in the warm Summer months. The master bedroom offers a double bed opening directly onto the patio looking out over the front garden & field. The 2nd bedroom offers a double foldout futon & a pull-out bed sleeping 2.

Is there a supermarket nearby?

There is a Minipreço in Pedrogao Grand a short 6km drive away offering  everyday essentials, bread, milk, vegetables, deli, wines & spirits,   or a slightly further 14km drive is an Intermarché in Figueiró Dos Vinhos, a large supermarket providing pastries, dairy & tinned foods, drinks & other household essentials.

 Can I get to Olive Trees Farm by Public Transport?

From Porto take the bus from the airport to Coimbra, where you can get a taxi to Mosteiro or a bus to Pedrogao Grande & a taxi to Mosteiro. From Lisbon you take the bus from the airport to Lisbon where you can take the train to Tomar or Pombal. Take a bus from there to Pedrogao Grande & a taxi to Mosteiro.

The farm is fully centrally heated with the state of the art pellet burner & radiators throughout, making it your perfect choice for a winter break.

 Can I bring my pets?

We consider pets to be part of the family. Please contact us to discuss bringing your cats or dog with you. House-trained, vaccinated pets are generally welcomed. Out of respect to other guests & children playing within the grounds, owners are required to clean up after their pets.

A stunning, traditional Portuguese farm house restored to a high standard, situated in the beautiful, peaceful village of Mosteiro, 6km from the town of Pedrógão Grande.  

In the village you'll find a restaurant, a cafe & less than 400m from the property is Mosteiro river beach. Here you can enjoy the scenery just as Mother Nature had intended. With so much beauty, why look for anything else?

The property has been lovingly renovated with a utility room, wet-room & 2 bedrooms on the ground floor. The master bedroom opens directly onto the patio leading into the garden & plunge pool. The second bedroom sleeps 4 with a double futon, a single bed & a second pull out bed beneath it.

The utility room offers shoe storage, washing machine facilities & a drinks refrigerator to chill your drinks while you're in the pool. There is also a storage area for suitcases and bags.

The 1st floor offers a 2nd bathroom with shower, dining room, fully equipped open-plan kitchen, breakfast bar & living area which opens directly onto the veranda offering stunning views over the front of the property & across the hills of Mosteiro. Here you can relax on the outside seating to watch the sun set & gaze upon the constellations under the stunning, clear night skies.
